Corrections and replies

Where to write if a page is wrong, if you are named on one, or if you are holding a document we should have.

If a page is wrong

Write to the corrections address. Say which page, which sentence, and what the document says. That is the fastest route to a correction, and it is faster than a complaint about tone.

We check it against the source. If the document supports you, the page changes and the correction is published on it, dated, with what it said before. Every correction is listed on the corrections page.

If you are named on this site

Write to us, whether or not we have asked you anything. Your reply is published on the page it concerns, dated, in the words you sent it in.

We do not grant copy approval or pre-publication review of our text, and a reply is never traded for a change to an assessment. If you think a tag is wrong, the useful thing to send is the document that makes it wrong.

If you are holding a document

Term sheets, loan agreements, tender rules and award decisions, court exhibits, procurement notices, audited accounts, board and committee papers. A document with a date and a clear provenance is worth more than a summary of what it contains, however detailed.

Before you send anything: do not take documents you are not entitled to hold, and do not access a system or an account you are not authorised to use. Material obtained that way will not be published, and sending it puts you at risk for nothing.

What we cannot help with

We do not give investment advice, and we do not comment on a security, a rating or a trade.
